Explanation of Nascar Points System image
Article excerpt: In all competitive sports there is a points system of some kind in place. After all there is a need to measure performance in some way to determine the positioning of those taking part, especially in a sport that involves a number of number of separate events to reach a conclusion. Normally, these point systems are relatively simple; with a certain number of points being awarded for coming first and the number of points collected calculated on a reducing scale for the lower placed competitors. However, the NASCAR points system is far more complex than this. Indeed, it is more complex even than some comparative motor sports, such as formula one. It follows therefore, that providing clarity for the NASCAR points system is never going to be easy, although that should not deter us from trying.
