The aim of this study is to examine how the adoption of an affordability strategy could help an RSL to address its current financial issues.
Although the terms social and affordability housing are
often used simultaneously to descibe the government's
objective of affordability in housing projects, there are
fundamental differences between the two terms. Affordability
not only is seem as a means of enabling poorer segments of
the community to secure accommadation and realistic prices
but also aimed at creating an environment of social
inclusion in housing development.
