The essay provides an overview of the organisational cultural issues that can adversely affect the the effective implementation of a change management process, particularly as this relates to M&As.

Every corporation will be faced with the need to changes its activities and operations at some stage within its development (Tichy 1983). Traditionally, during such periods, much of the focus has been placed on managing the practical elements and processes of change. Indeed, it has been posited in the literature that providing the corporation “gets the process right, the rest will follow” (JISC 2006).
